Changelog

Shipped, in order.

Baited is built in the open, milestone by milestone. Everything below is real and usable today — no roadmap promises dressed up as releases.

01 The shipping log

June 2026

  1. Forecasting

    Trip-Day Outlook + a conditions archive

Anglers and captains see a marine outlook for the exact trip date, and every trip now logs the wind, sea, moon, and tide it ran under — so the platform stops losing the conditions behind a good day on the water.

    • Trip-Day Outlook end-to-end, horizon-capped
    • Conditions archive: wind / sea / moon / tide per trip
    • “Log catch” outcomes close the feedback loop
  2. Payments

    Live deposit checkout

The booking widget collects the deposit at checkout and settles it straight to the operator's own Stripe account — no per-booking commission held back. Deployed to production in test mode, with the live-key swap owner-gated.

    • Deposit captured in the widget flow
    • $0 booking fee shown to the guest, every time
    • Funds land in the operator's Stripe, not ours
  3. Platform

    Marketing site + developer docs

A static marketing site — homepage, sourced Peek comparison, pricing, and a live demo that runs the real widget — plus developer docs: getting-started, framework embed guides, the widget theming contract, and a full API reference generated from the live route surface.

    • Embed guides for React, Next, Astro, and plain HTML
    • API reference that can't drift from the routes
  4. Fish intel

    Offshore Fish-Intelligence hub

A captain-facing intelligence dashboard: a keyless heat map over an authored coastline and offshore banks, per-cell “why” reasoning, ranked best-bets with a run and bearing from Point Loma, a go / no-go call, and a community fish-count feed.

    • Species, date, and layer toggles with a recency chip
    • NOAA-fed ocean + marine forecast, mocks until keys land
  5. Revenue

    Revenue & retention suite

Eight features that help an operator keep more of every season — built so a busy month never costs more than a slow one.

    • Crew gratuity / tips
    • Digital waivers & e-sign
    • Gift cards
    • Promo & discount codes
    • Waitlist with auto-offer
    • Store credit vs. refund
    • Repeat-customer CRM
    • Split / group payments
  6. Customer

    Customer self-service portal

A magic-link portal where anglers manage their own bookings — reschedule, cancel, download an .ics, read the know-before-you-go pack, and check store-credit balances — without a single phone call to the captain.

  7. Operator

    Operator admin console

The captain's command center: schedule and manifests, bookings and customers, trips, availability and pricing, plus every revenue tool above in one place.

    • One-click Coast Guard souls-on-board manifest export
  8. Foundation

    MVP booking, payments & weather/tide

Where it started: the core booking engine, deposit payments, and live NOAA weather and tide woven into the flow so an angler sees the marine forecast for a date before they commit to it.

    • Availability, holds, and a real booking flow
    • NOAA weather + tide in the booking experience

Sourced from the build log. Dates mark when each milestone landed in the codebase; production deploys for the newest entries are owner-gated. Phase 11 and beyond — trust pages, SEO, and conversion polish — are in flight.
